Harvest season is underway at SR1’s mini-farm in Forest, MS, and we’re already seeing the fruits of our labor! Along with various leafy greens, we’ve been growing a few varieties of turnips at the mini-farm. Typically, most people would eat the greens of the turnips, but the turnip roots themselves can be equally delicious! SR1 Educator Lashante Cox demonstrated this by creating a unique and supremely flavorful recipe using the turnips we grew, which you can view below.
